VIS comes from the entrepreneurial foresight of the Ancona-based Virgili family. Its story is a quest for high-quality raw materials, a search that begins in the very heart of the Adriatic sea. For over thirty years, VIS has been supplying high-standard chilled and frozen seafood, breaded cheese, battered vegetables and meals. Today, the company is well-established on the domestic and local market with plants in Noale (Veneto), Controguerra (Abruzzi), and Ancona (the harbor area). In 2017 it broadened its horizons by taking over Salmon Club, a Treviso-based company specialized in gluten-free products and ready meals.
VIS products’ quality is backed by ISO 9001, BRC (British Retail Council), IFS (International Food Standard) and Greener certifications for the use of renewable energy. The dedicated research and development work, based on constant innovation and experimentation and led by industry experts allows the Group’s brands (VIS, Salmon Club and Genepesca) to provide their customers with the best frozen seafood products.
